Beachfront House

The form of this oceanfront house was envisioned as growing from the site, reflecting the natural progression of terrain and vegetation, low and sheltering on the land side, soaring and open to the ocean. The two-story living room and screen porch on the ocean side open the house to ocean views, and flood the interiors with light, with the deep roof overhangs controlling the summer sun. Materials are stucco and naturally weathering cedar shingles and cedar siding.
